There comes a morning in every woman's life when she looks in the mirror and sees a stranger looking back at her.
Too much sun. Too little sleep. The stresses and strains of modern life all takes its toll on the skin, and it's most likely to show up in your face.
You don’t have to resign yourself to the effects of premature ageing. We can smooth out those unwanted folds and wrinkles, and give you an altogether more relaxed and youthful appearance.
Youthful skin is rich in hyaluronic acid, a substance that binds water, hydrates the skin and promotes all-important softness and fullness. As we age the hyaluronic acid in our skin becomes less efficient over time and this inevitably leads to loss of facial fullness and the “tell-tale” signs of ageing.
What can dermal fillers do for me?
We can use dermal fillers to fill out lines and wrinkles around your mouth, eyes, nose and forehead, the neck and décolletage area, and the hands. We can give your mouth a fuller and more sensuous form by enhancing the lips to produce a better definition and reduction in lipstick bleed. Your lips can also be given a greater volume and fuller appearance.
Dermal fillers can also be used to correct acne scarring.
What is a dermal filler?
A dermal filler is a substance which is injected into the skin to plump it up, make it firmer and smooth out lines and wrinkles. There are many fillers on the market these days but our nurse practitioner uses only synthetically produced non-animal products consisting of hyaluronic acid which is a natural chemical constituent of the skin. These products are far less likely to produce allergic reactions than old-fashioned fillers such as collagen which is derived from cow hide.
How is the treatment carried out?
The filler is injected, usually without the need for local anaesthetic, into the lines and defects to plump them out. The filler remains in the skin where it binds water to produce a lift and firmness to the treated areas. Results are visible immediately and will continue to improve over a period of time. You may experience minor redness and/or swelling around the treated area, but this will subside within 1-2 days.
How long does the treatment take?
Treatment usually takes about 30 minutes, but you should allow an hour for your first appointment as a consultation will be required prior to treatment.
How many treatments will i need?
Further treatments will be required but the length of time between treatments varies from one person to another. The filler is gradually broken down and absorbed by the body, so the lines, wrinkles or lips will ultimately return to their previous appearance without top up treatments.
How much will it cost?
Consultation fee - £20 (deductable from total cost if treatment taken on the same day or within 4 weeks)
Treatment cost - from £250
Top Up - £50 if carried out within 6 weeks of treatment date
