What is regenlite skin rejuvenation
Regenlite Skin Rejuvenation offers the most advanced non-invasive laser treatment for the softening and removal of lines and wrinkles, to leave the skin looking younger, smoother and healthier. Thousands of patients throughout the world choose Regenlite because it is safer, quicker and less expensive than existing surgical options.
How does regenlite skin rejuvenation work?
Regenlite is a revolutionary, non-invasive laser treatment that stimulates the production of natural collagen in the skin. As we grow older the levels of collagen reduce, resulting in the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Clinical trials of the Regenlite have shown, in many cases, an increase in the production of natural collagen by up to 85% resulting in an increased thickness of skin and smoothing of lines and wrinkles with just one treatment session.
A yellow light beam passes through the top layer of skin (the epidermis) targeting the tiny blood vessels in the dermal layer underneath. These vessels are heated by the light which causes the release of healing inflammatory mediators that stimulate your cells to produce new collagen.
Regenlite Skin Rejuvenation is a three stage process of preparation, repair and maintenance. Missing out, or not performing one of these adequately, may have an impact on the result.
A combination of Regenlite and other procedures such as microdermabrasion and topical creams may be recommended in order to address these three stages and to obtain optimum results.
Am I suitable for treatment?
Regenlite is suitable for all skin types. However, you will be required to attend a consultation where your medical history will be discussed to determine your suitability for treatment. Should you wish to proceed, you will be asked to sign a consent form and undergo a patch test.
Who will carry out my treatment?
All consultations, patch tests and procedures at Wellbeing & Health are carried out by a specialist Registered Nurse with many years experience in laser treatments and skin care.
How does the treatment feel?
Unlike other laser resurfacing techniques, Regenlite Skin Rejuvenation is a painless procedure requiring no anaesthesia or recovery time. You will only feel a mild tingling sensation as the laser light is absorbed into the skin.
How long will my treatment take?
Depending on your recommended treatment package, your treatment will be 30-60 minutes.
What will i see immediately following treatment?
Regenlite is totally safe and usually leaves no visible signs on the surface of the skin. This is because the laser works on the lower surface or dermal layer of the skin where collagen production occurs. As a result, you can have a treatment during your lunch break and return to work. In a small number of cases there may be a slight redness to the treated area and pin-point bruising may occur. This normally lasts no more than a few days.
How many treatments are necessary?
The number of treatment sessions you may need will depend on the following criteria:
(a) Your skin condition and personal tissue ageing rate;
(b) Your lifestyle, as this can affect the ageing process in your skin; and
(c) What you expect to achieve following treatment.
The number of treatments will be discussed with you during consultation, including the possibility of combination treatments to enhance the results.
A typical treatment course will involve 3-5 laser treatment sessions, although there may be additional appointments required for combination treatments. The laser sessions will usually be scheduled once every two weeks.
When will i start to see results?
Over a period of three months following treatment you will notice a gradual reduction in the appearance of lines and wrinkles as the collagen levels increase. Additional treatments may be required periodically to maintain the results, but this depends very much on the individual. We will be happy to advise you further during consultation.
